NUMBER OF COATS
Two coats on raw wood; for renovations, normally one coat on the clean surface is sufficient – without sanding!
Finished surface in 2 days, 2 coats
- First coat thinly applied to dried, raw (weathered) wood approx. 35-45 ml/m². Note: Resinous woods and hardwoods rich in extractives first need to weather.
- Mistakes in the wet coating can be corrected up to 30 minutes after the first application.
- Drying time approx. 12 hours (normal climatic conditions, 23 °C/ 50 % rel. humidity). Lower temperatures and/or higher humidity can increase drying time. Ventilate well.
- Second coat approx. 35-45 ml/m². For renovations, normally one coat on the cleaned surface is sufficient.
- Drying time approx. 12 hours; see point 3.
Note: Osmo Decking-Oil 007 Teak is clear and therefore it does not protect wood against UV radiation from the sun (greying)! Aged, ribbed or grooved wood may have a significantly higher material requirement.
